My name is Tiina Häkkinen, and I am a freelance translator residing in Tampere, Finland. I provide high-quality translations, proofreading, editing, subtitling and technical authoring in several fields.

| Languages have always been my great passion. Already at a very early age, I was fascinated with words, and started picking up foreign languages from the TV. Later on, I have developed this passion into a profession that I deeply enjoy.I have studied several languages from elementary school to university, including English, Swedish, German, French and Spanish. However, English has always been my strongest second language, and I have had the opportunity to spend time both in the UK and the United States to strengthen my cultural ties. |

| I have a Master of Arts degree in Translation Studies (English), obtained from Tampere University in 2003. I have also studied Technical Communication at Tampere Polytechnic, and have been working as a technical writer in the Telecommunication, IT and Engineering fields since 2004. |
