Translation

Translations are charged by word count. The rate per word depends on the level of specialization, length, and the amount of layout formatting required for the text.
Word rates vary between 0.10-0.17 EUR / 0.13-0.23 USD (VAT not incl.).

The minimum charge for any translation is 35,00 EUR/47,50 USD.

Proofreading, Editing, Web Site Localization

Proofreading, editing and web page localization are charged by the hour.

The hourly rate is 35,00 EUR / 61,00 USD.

Technical Authoring

The hourly rate for technical authoring is 50,00 EUR / 68,00 USD per hour.

Subtitling

Subtitling is charged by frame. Please request a separate quote for subtitling assignments.

Additional Information

Surcharges

A 10-15% Surcharge can be added to tight-schedule jobs, weekend jobs or jobs that require extensive and complex formatting. This is always negotiated beforehand before submitting the final quote.

Discounts

A 10-40% discount can be granted on exact/fuzzy matches in translation memory and repetitions.
This is always negotiated beforehand before submitting the final quote.

A 10-30% discount can be granted on high-volume translations. I also favour long-term business relationships by giving discounts to those who provide regular assignments.

Invoicing is handled by the Eezy Osk company. A 22% VAT will be added to all prices.
