Services and Prices
I offer high-quality translations from English (USA/UK) to Finnish and vice versa. In addition to translation services, I also offer proofreading, editing, technical authoring, localisation and subtitling. The cornerstones of my service are quality, efficiency, reliability and confidentiality.
I use state-of-the-art CAT (translation memory) and office tools, as well as subtitling software.
What you get is high-quality work, delivered on time, in the format of your choice.
All client material is treated with utmost confidentiality. An NDA agreement can be signed on request.
Pricing
Each translation is priced separately according to the length, technicality, special terminology and schedule. My translation rates are per page (1560 characters, incl. spaces).
Subtitling is charged per subtitle or per program minute.
Technical authoring, editing and proofreading are charged per hour.
Examples of prices (excl. VAT):
- Translation: starting from 40 euros per page
- Proofreading, editing and technical documentation: starting from 45 euros per hour
- Subtitling (incl. translation and time-cueing): starting from 1 euro per subtitle / 8 euros per program minute
Translations under one page in length are charged per row (60 char.), starting from. 1,90 euros per row.
The minimum charge for any translation is 25 eur. This is applied when the length of the text is less than 780 characters.
In translation work, I can give an accurate price quote and schedule only after seeing the source text. If you'd like to ask for a free quote, please send the source text for cost evaluation by e-mail as a .doc or .txt file. The material is treated with confidentiality.

The general terms of contract specified by the Finnish Association for Translators and Interpreters apply to all translation projects.
